Materials: Light Karo syrup, water, vegetable oil, Dawn dish soap (blue), rubbing alcohol, lamp oil, honey, graduated cylinder, food coloring, food baster, portion cups. Layers simulate the density of the liquids. You can also give items such as eraser, bolt, rock, bead etc. so students can determine the density of the materials.
States of Matter: baking soda in a balloon, on top of a bottle filled with vinegar makes a gas and fills up the balloon.
Grass Heads: develop the character and make a writing activity out of it.
