YES! These are dried out water-based markers being turned into liquid watercolor that paints beautifully. Just fill a clean baby food jar with water, tie about six dry markers with a rubber band, and set them in the top of the jar. Let them sit over night and watercolor is made! Awesome idea!!!
Invention Idea Box (Love this idea!)...great for critical thinking! I had a "Building Box" in my room last year where I added items I thought kids could use to build things. (It was usually things I would otherwise throw away or recycle.) The kids loved it!
This tip has saved my brushes many, many, times. Thanks to Laura Cox of Heart of the Home Stencils who first led me to Murphy's Oil Soap! "If you petrify a brush just soak it in Murphy's for 24 to 48 hours and it dissolves all the paint and makes it like new."
One of my biggest aha's after teaching awhile. My WARM, COOL AND NEUTRAL paper scrap boxes. So we have a rule about these boxes!! It MUST be a square or rectangle to go back in...no messy cut papers. We simply cut away the messy edge and reuse the paper. I really have very little paper waste. I review this and they really get it!! They stay so nice and clean :) ahh
