Candy, Nuts & Magazines
Ideas, fun stuff and more for the Candy, Nut & Magazine Program.
Check out this cool invite to get adult volunteers excited!! PSM Heather from GSKSMO made this super cute invite for the troop leaders in her service unit to get them excited about training for Candy, Nuts & Magazines. This year's mascot was Blossom the Bee so her bag included a honey stick, a bee swap and a squeezy bee. Heather dressed as Blossom the Queen Bee (including beehive hair) and shared her enthusiasm for girl programming. FANTASTIC JOB!

From a Girl Scout Mom: Here's how we organized out Girl Scout fall product sale. My daughter designed the front thank you card and then wrote the persons name on the back. I clearly wrote their order down and price and then she did the total math. Was an idea from one of our troop leaders and it worked great!
How good with this be with Girl Scout Cashews? White Chocolate-Cashew Coffee Biscotti | MyRecipes.com
Pretty with the candy wrapped up - Caramel Treasures come in pretty gold wrappers. Stuff styrofoam ball into the tin (paint first, if desired), glue mini cupcake liners to ball. If you want the candy unwrapped insert toothpick into back of candy, then insert other end of toothpick though liner and into ball to secure. If leaving candy wrapped glue to liner. Remember, you are handling chocolate so wrapped on unwrapped you might want to take care not to handle very long or it will melt!
A fun craft idea with the 2013 Flower Pot Tin from Girl Scouts -- you need a styrofoam ball that sticks up out of the pot, three inch squares of green tissue paper and lollipops (wrapped or unwrapped). The image shows this will unwrapped dum-dums. Poke the sucker through the paper, insert into styrofoam until covered. Personally, I'd use wrapped Tootsie Pops!
