Lone Star Park ~ Horse Racing Track located in Grand Prairie, Texas. Lone Star Park opened in 1997. The track offers separate meets for Thoroughbred racing and Quarter Horse racing. In 2004, Lone Star Park hosted the Breeders Cup. Lone Star Park covers 315 acres and includes a pavilion for simulcasting. The track has a one-mile dirt oval and a seven-furlong turf track, and accommodations for 1,600 horses across 32 barns and grandstand seating capacity of 8,000. Owned by Chickasaw Nation.
