4-H demo ideas
Took this idea for a DVD colouring case from stacyvaughnblog.b... Making one each for the kids in my fourth grade class. We are going for an all day excursion to a game reserve. It will be the first time any of the kids have seen wild animals. A local video-rental shop had these old cases. Great recycling project!! Win-win!
Great idea for recycling old t-shirts...use for grocery items, kids can use there own old t-shirts for overnight bags, etc
Jello roll-ups. So easy and soo good. Try them with watermelon jello or the black cherry. Great to take to sports activities, picnics, even camping. Young and old will love them!!
Dangerous: 1 can condensed milk, 1/2 gal chocolate milk, 8 oz cool whip -- Like a Wendys Frosty
bracelets -- love to keep bags of string crafts, string games, origami, other foldables, beading, codebreakers, brain teasers, tangrams, op art coloring pages, etc in my WTDWYAT (what to do when you are through) box in the classroom. Kids need these to stretch spatial and critical thinking skills just as much as they need "one more worksheet".
DIY "Magic Slushies" without the kit from TV. No crushed ice, just salt, Kool-Aid, and one minute of time -- I just did this because Grant has been begging for the magic slushie thing. I had snack size bags and sandwich bags, but it still worked. I'm going to try again with gallon sized bags. I used apple cherry juice for the slushie.
