I use this for Accelerated reader. Every 10% of their goal they earn, the student pops a balloon. Inside the balloon is a post it with a reward written on it- like tickets, in class snack, etc. Totally motivates students to read. Today was the first day of the school year a balloon was popped :). kellcp

Teachers: the Hang-Ups Family Organizer is perfect to use in the classroom! I like this idea better than the absent folders, easier to place the extras in the folder and reduce clutter on my desk.

One of my middle school English teachers assigned a Jewish child to each of us as we studied the unit about the haulocast. Abraham Beem was the child assigned to me, and when I studied his short story I experienced heartbreak for the first time in my life. I have held on to his picture since then, almost ten years later, and I cannot forget him.
