It takes many to stand up to the few who bully. Listen to your kids and help them with their voice to stand up when they see something that is wrong, hurtful, or shameful to others. Usually a bully learns from being bullied first. Find out what your child knows about how to stop bullying. Have the conversation before it starts.
"Just write. If you have to make a choice, if you say, 'Oh well, I'm going to put the writing away until my children are grown,' then you don't really want to be a writer. If you want to be a writer, you do your writing. . . if you don't do it, you probably don't want to be a writer, you just want to have written and be famous -- which is very different." - Jane Yolen
Paris. I want to climb the stairs of the Eiffel tower until I am forbidden to go any further. I want to eat cheese and drink wine because that is the stereotype of the frenchies. I want to draw a mustache on my index finger and put that finger above my lip so I look like a suave Frenchman. I want to walk the streets at night with the golden lights to guide my way. Paris. One magical day.
