Thanksgiving Wreath, peacock feathers

Acorn Wreath

  • Cathy Clark Davis

Getting ready to make the wreath. I noticed a comment regarding the acorns splitting during baking process. I believe this is a result of using acorns that are very wet or laying on the ground too long. Try laying the out to dry for a few days then baking at lower temperature. Freshly dropped acorns are best to use for this wreath.

Wreath turned out beautiful. Acorns did not split. Get them early. Heat them slow and low so they do not crack or just like i said get them early so they have not been laying on the ground in the wet weather for a long time. I used a red ribbon but the brown will look great for Thanksgiving next year.
