The Cuba playhouse by Play Modern in the Modern Family Lounge #dwellondesign #dod2012

This indoor playhouse is open on top with a fabric canopy. It would be so simple to re-make this!

This play/sleep combo if a playhouse looks like swiss cheese! Cute.

This little cozy spot next to the crib is so great for an older brother or sister to hang out with Baby.

Brilliant Basketball Bunk Bed! This built-in is amazing, with a small loft playing (or sleeping?) above. Too cool.

This little nook under the stairs is no dusty Harry Potter cupboard. What a great place to hang a bold wallpaper for the not-so-brave.

This amazing indoor playhouse strikes again! I think it's a pre-fab that you can paint and assemble yourself...?

the slow life: the treehouse

This indoor play house and bunk bed combo makes a great centerpiece for this hip pink and white girls' room.

Not sure if this vintage pre-fab nook counts as an indoor playhouse, but it looks pretty fun to me!

This loft space is perfectly kiddie-size and well-suited to an indoor playhouse.

What a great set of ideas for making your home more kid-friendly! A rock wall, fire pole, climbing bars, and crash net will be sure to keep kids active.

I know it's a fireman's pole but in a few years it says "stripper pole" LOL

  • David Webster

a fire pole is NOT kid friendly...kid disrespects that opening and its lights out...its not worth it.
