RECIPE: 12T. Butter, 1 C. Sugar, 2.5 C. Flour, 2 Eggs, 1t. Salt, 1t. Baking powder, 1/2t. Vanilla. Mix butter (at room temperature) with sugar until nice and creamy. Add the rest of the ingredients one at a time mixing well between each. Chill dough for at least one hour. Roll out into at least 1/4 inch thick. Cut into desired shapes. Place on un-greased baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes at 400˚ (I like mine soft, so I take them out before they start to brown around the edges). Frosting: Start with 4T. melted butter. Add 1/4-1/2 C. of milk. Powdered sugar until desired consistency (the more, the thicker your frosting will be, less will make more of a glaze). 1/2t. of vanilla (or other flavoring such as almond). Food coloring When cookies are cool frost and enjoy!
