Last year, San Francisco-based artist and illustrator Lisa Congdon designed a new journal for Compendium, Inc and it is now available for purchase. The journal is photography themed, and includes paintings of vintage cameras and hand lettered quotes by famous photographers.

1936, Kine Exakta: the first production, 35mm SLR. Also the first interchangeable lens camera with bayonet lens mount. Some will say the first 35mm SLR was the Soviet Sport in 1934 - this was when the prototype was shown and it didn't actually go into production until 1937.
