From: I'm a teacher, get me OUTSIDE here! Sorting sticks from longest to shortest. Good outdoor group activity for preschoolers that can be left for individual students to return to time and again.
This would make a great group OT idea - exploring knots in preschool
use tongs to catch plastic bugs in easter grass and put in a bug box
Love this idea of nesting boxes w/ maps from the world to the town.
LOVE! Levels of the rainforest
shaving cream clouds experiment. Shaving cream, clear container, food coloring, water, paper towels, droppers, or I imagine you could use spoons too.. Don't forget to prep the activity with a cloud book! (She also provided ages for her kids 3 - prek) I love how she extends the activity to the table, when the jars couldn't take it anymore.. Such a good idea!
The cloud jar
Slap sight words with fly swatters
Cloud Dough (the stuff at hands on museums) 8 cups flour & 1 cup baby oil. It feels like flour as you run your fingers through it, but it's moldable. A wonderful sensory activity for children.
Another science fair idea: Make rainbow roses by splitting the stems into strands and placing each one in food coloring. The roses draw the food coloring into the petals.
These would be good to make and keep in your purse for keeping kids busy at restaurants. Kids love pictures of themselves!
