OLYMPIA SCARRY. Bubble Wrap Painting (marble / pink onyx from Iran). 2012.

pei-san ng - text sculpture made with matches. That's so cool and very symbolic. =D

Wind Portal by Najla El Zein. Zein installed 5000 spinning paper windmills in a doorway at the V&A museum in London. Each windmill is attached to a small tube, through which air flows. A computer program controls where air is released, causing ripples of movement. #art

Korean artist Jae-Hyo Lee is known for his comprehensive works made with organic materials found in nature. The artist's pieces often utilize natural media, reconfiguring their shape to create unnaturally manufactured creations. The works reflect the original elements' beauty in a newly stylized form. From sculptural wood-based furniture to a series of suspended stone sculptures Lee can manipulate nature into something new without losing the essence of the materials.

And then there are examples of contemporary art that I think are absolutely sublime, like this transcendent chandelier that was installed in The Factory at the far end of Dashilar. The piece is called Milkwave and is by the design team of Rolando Rodriguez-Leal and Natalia Wrzask of AIDIA STUDIO, who have a presence in Beijing, London and Mexico City. @Gail Regan Truax://
