Sum sum summer time

Camping tip...just make sure you mark it so you don`t drink it when you run out of water. For future reference.

I might consider camping again if it was like this.

Are you a mosquito magnet? Check out the facts vs. myths.

Peppermint oil--Since the mosquitoes are going to be on overload this season, I need to whip up a batch of this. Keep the mosquitoes away.

Adding sage to your campfire or fire pit keeps mosquitoes and bugs away...I love sage bundles indoors, too!

Umbrella frame without the cloth, spray painted white, then draped with a long line of little white christmas lights, and hung out on the porch

coconut-oil-sunscreen-recipe. Most commercial sunscreens contain toxic ingredients and endocrine disrupting chemicals. In fact, in the years since sunscreen use began skin cancer rates have actually risen.

remember....Borax ant bait. Borax is the most common ingredient in house ant control products, and get this: it's absolutely 100% natural. The best way (in my opinion) to use Borax is to mix 1 cup of warm water with 1/2 cup of sugar, and 2 tablespoons of Borax. Then soak the Borax mixture up with cotton balls and place those cotton balls near any trails the ants have established in your home. Feeding frenzy... tomorrow they'll be gone. I knew there had to be a way to do this naturally!

The best wasp/yellowjacket repellant for summer picnics: 2 ounces of mint extract. 2 ounces peppermint extract. 10 ounces rubbing alcohol. Pour ingredients into spray bottle and label. Spray down picnic area and play area. The mint is neurotoxic to bees and wasps. Somehow they know to stay away, but if you spray it on them directly it can also kill them.

Fire pit with openings at the bottom for airflow and keep feet warm!! what a good idea!!

No trees required... Yes freaking PLEASE!

BEST IDEA EVER! Floating canopy: the balloons are attached to the ground with fishing line, probably the coolest thing ever.

I love this idea!!! Night under the stars. Blow up kiddie pool and fill with pillows and blankets.

Windproof your picnic blanket with grommets and golf tees.

Fill balloons with water, freeze and use and reuse them instead of ice!

From our friends Frugally Sustainable...Cool the kids off with a homemade sprinkler. Take a 2 liter soda bottle, poke holes in it. Attach to a garden hose via a male to male adapter that cost less than 5$ at Lowes. Toss over a tree branch and let hang.

DIY Cinder-block sofa. Kinda cool!
