Contemporary reports always used the phrase "jewel-like" to refer to the creations of Officine Speziallizate Costruzioni Automobili, or OSCA. They were small-displacement (usuallt 1.5L) sports-racing cars built by the Maserati brothers after their contract with Orsi ran out and they could no longer build cars under their own names. This is an OSCA MT4, which explains the obsession with the phrase "jewel-like" for these incredible creations...
