This is a stunning vintage scarf from Whiting & Davis. Most people know these designers for their vintage purses including the mesh ones. The scarf is silvertone mesh (like the purses) and is triangular in shape. It can be worn to the side or can be draped in front as in the picture.
ClogsFrench. Early 20C. St Emilion. Standard issue on farms and in vineyards at the time. Clog makers or Sabotiers were found in towns and villages throughout France right through the 1950′s. A sabotier could make 4 pairs in a day in a trade that was often passed from father to son.
