Budir on the southwestern part of the Snaefellsnes peninsula is very popular among tourists because of the beauty of the region and the nearness of the Snaefell Glacier. Many wide travelled people have stated that nowhere in Iceland have they enjoyed the natural surroundings more. The yellow beaches, the black and green contrasts of the lava field.

On our second visit to Vik we were welcome by an incredibly cold and windy day. Determined to shoot at all costs, we headed down to the shore when a massive sleet storm suddenly began. For a long while we were just standing there like penguins, cursing the moment we got out of the car, but the short periods of time when the sleet stopped scourging were worth it all.
