Swat It Place Value \$ A fun team game using fly swatters to swat the correct standard number form to match the expanded form of a stated number. The teacher or designated caller states a number in expanded form from the calling list. The 2 players competing hold a fly swatter and win a point for their team if they are the first to Swat the correct standard form of the number called. Game can be played whole group or in small groups.

Here's a great poem on 3D shapes. I would love to use this because not only does it teach shapes but I can also take this opportunity to teach about poems.

Fraction Fish Third grade students learn about fractions in their Math class. They used their knowledge of fractions to create an underwater picture using cut paper circles. they were asked to identify different fractions in their pictures, such as 1 whole, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, some students even created pieces as small as 1/32!! They had a good time making their pictures while reviewing their Math concepts.
