Wrap up the holidays with the cream of the crop gathered from the treasures of Pinterest awesomeness!
Yoga promotes health & self-esteem in kids while reducing feelings of helplessness and aggression. Plus it's a great way to burn off energy when stuck indoors! (Great gift guide - lots of toy description and suggested age ranges.)
Dramatic play promotes literacy through vocabulary and story-telling practice as well as social skills such as empathy, turn taking, and the identification of emotions - great break down of recommended ages on the toys listed.
Take an old sweater. Cut a slit in along the shoulder down about 7". Fold over raw edge and sew in place. Sew a piece of ribbon about 15" long to one side of neckline and another ribbon to the other side of the neckline. Tie together!
Shaped gift packets - Layer two pieces of kraft paper together and drawing your chosen shape (star, stocking, or other Yuletide symbol) on the top piece. Cut through both layers of paper, then sandwich a gift between the two shapes and stitch along the edges using contrasting thread.
