The upstairs landing of this Covington, Louisiana home was transformed into a small den that makes an inviting, casual family hangout. An upholstered wall softens the space above the built-in bench, while bamboo Chippendale-style chairs and vibrant turquoise Moroccan poufs add plenty of extra seating. (Photo: Laurey W Glenn)
I would love to build this in Whitney's room....but in zebra print and pink of course! I like small spaces and you could put everything you need in there. A TV and all her books and puzzles on the bookshelf, a curtain to close the space off at night, and a steppy stool beside the whole thing so that the creatures too little to jump up on the bed themselves had a leg up. Perfect!
this is so cozy!

As if the bed nook wasn't cool enough, that door leads to the closet, which holds a ladder to a reading space, with the "balcony" window above the bed to look out!
