MEKKANIKA: A Typeface Inspired by Steampunk and Machinary. Italian designer Riccardo Sabatini created a typeface inspired by old mechanical technical drawings, the steampunk visual world, and modern machinery. Mekkenika is based on the letter shapes of Din Alternate Black font, and is recommended to be seen while listening to a given soundtrack. Sabatini scanned and layered hundreds of mechanical technical drawings, and used the pieces to create the letter forms. He even made posters out of those pieces as a “mechanical tribute to the Transformers”.

just plain creative plus it kind of sums up my life.
One of my favorite things this week. When I saw it in my RSS reader, I was like, "I've found my personal motivation statement." They made desktops out of it, and I'm currently rockin' it. It may never leave my desktop. I need its mojo to rub off on me. http://friendsoftype.com/2011/05/one-important-rule/
