These are all My crafty creations!! I hope you enjoy :)
My children were born on the same day two years apart so I took the frame that held sewing machine drawers apart and used the parts to make these birthdate frames. I then hung them on old crib rails with their pictures under them. I plan to add more pictures but this is what I have so far. You could also use embroidery hoops to make your own.
Old window turned into a schedule . I love that I can change it when ever and however I want.
I have been drooling over funky junks giant number too but didn't ever have a place I thought it would work . This weekend the hubs and I tackled making our own and I now have my own drool worthy number two!!
I found this idea on a blog before Pinterest was created. I wish I could remember which one so I would give her credit. I took my daughters baby blankets she had in the nicu and made rosettes and added the owl turrets I found on eBay with hot glue to a piece of plywood backed with paper. I then added it all to an old frame and now it's something she can have forever .
I took an old window I had found in Ohio and added a place mat I found at tjmax. It can be changed for each season and makes Great Wall art.
Kids room redo ( for us). I hated that my son was always climbing to see the tv and could mess with the DVD player. So a quick shelf with metal sign under to hide the wires and we have a successful set up..... At least until he no longer likes to climb the ladder :/
This was my first door coat hanger I made and sold . I love finding old parts of doors to add the perfect touch.
My son is autistic and is constantly climbing my bookshelf SOooo we put up half an old step ladder and secured it to the wall. No more climbing my bookshelf = happy mom and son!
Another picture of the outside during Christmas 2012. The swags above the windows were also created from discarded artificial tree branches.
These are blocks of wood that I painted, distressed and added scrabble tiles to. I then added small craft clothes pins to pin pictures to. On the back I painted it with chalk board paint so it could be used as a countdown. These were given to my sons teachers and bus drivers for taking such good care of him this year.
This was an ugly old end table but had a solid wood base. I am a sucker for things that are made well and need a revamp so I made this gem into a kids kitchen. I couldn't find a bowl I liked so I used one of my flower enamel flower pots and used a grinder to take the handle off( this made me sad to do). I love every part of this kitchen creation even though I had to sacrifice my pot:)!
