(500) Days of Summer (2009) When his girlfriend, Summer (Zooey Deschanel), unceremoniously dumps him, greeting-card copywriter and hopeless romantic Tom (Golden Globe nominee Joseph Gordon-Levitt) begins sifting through the year-plus worth of days they spent together, looking for clues to what went awry. As he recalls the good and bad times he spent with the commitment-phobic girl, his heart reawakens to what it cherishes most. Marc Webb directs this uncommon love story.
(500) Days of Summer-I just love how this movie flows. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is so good in this
I really like this movie. I feel like I can really relate to it now that I'm older and have experienced a few things.
Loved this movie as a kid, and my love for it grew as I did. Now that I'm a parent, I really love it.
Trading Places (1983) -- "A snobbish investor and a wily street con artist find their positions reversed as part of a bet by two callous millionaires" -- Dan Aykroyd and Eddie Murphy in a classic 80s movie (plus Jamie Lee Curtis as a hooker with a heart of gold) -- if you have not seen it, do so as soon as possible.
This movie is so hilarious. At one time, my ringtone was even Peter Gibbons saying "It's not that I'm lazy. It's that I just don't care."
I would drive my grandparents crazy watching this movie EVERY time I went over their house. I still know all the lines and songs!
The Incredibles. I'm not sure who loves this movie more-my daughter or me!
The Devils Advocate (filmography Stephen Joel Brown producer)
A struggling young actress with a six-year-old daughter sets up housekeeping with a homeless black widow and her light-skinned eight-year-old daughter who rejects her mother by trying to pass for white. Lana Turner,Juanita Moore Sandra Dee, Susan Kohner, and a solo by gospel Mahalia Jackson, nominated for 2 Oscars. Excellent movie with issues in that era, highly emotional and animosity! This is a good watch!
Imitation of Life (1959 film). Mahalia Jackson's singing at the end gets me every time
