Strips of plastic table cloths. brilliant!
The Backyardigans cake I made for the twins' 2nd birthday party!! Made marshmallow fondant... and sculpted everything myself! :)
I used the fondant recipe I have saved in this folder. I also made the cake, and icing from scratch too! :)
You inspired me Jennah. I found an owl cake that I'm going to try for Kady's bday this year =)
Definitely doing a take on this for their party I think!! :):)
Loving this cake...
make your own fondant
You should really make this @Jennah Good! I made a similar recipe for both girls' birthdays this year...so easy and it looks like a million dollars! And its so fun and moldable you can create ANYTHING! It also keeps in the freezer for about 6 months or so.
@Lauren LimaugeI am!! I'm making it tomorrow! I cant wait :):) I love baking and I always make my kids cakes.. but for some reason i've just never tried fondant! But I'm DEFINITELY doing it for the twins backyardigans birthday cake this year! I have to be able to make the characters! ;) I cant wait! I'll post pics when i'm done!!
Yay Can't wait to see!!
Hula hoop wrapped with Icicle lights. 1 hula hoop (spray painted) + 2 strings of icicle lights and a black electrical tape = magnificent chandelier. Great for parties
These 'lolipops' made out of balloons are so cute.
fun display with curled pipe-cleaners - so colorful AND inexpensive
Could be homemade confetti too!
Folded paper garland
backyardigans party confetti... making my own ;)
Birthday Questions - every year on their birthday you ask the same questions and see how their answers change over the years! Add a pic and make a book out of it.
Put candy inside the balloons and have the kids throw darts!? SUCH A CUTE IDEA!! (for older kids though... a little too old for the twins.)
In love with these decorations!
Obviously going to need 2 pinatas..
