Cinnabunnies - made with Pillsbury cinnamon rolls. Can't wait until Easter!
This is a fabulous idea! A friend took small glow sticks and put them in plastic eggs. Then hid them in the house and turned off the lights for the hunt. Must remember this!
Bunny Tails Easter Treat Bag. Donut holes. How cute!
1. Buy some "magic" Jelly Beans 2. Plant them in your yard- this only works the night before Easter (wink wink) 3. The next morning go out and see what grew (large Lollipops!) Totally doing this!!! :)
April Fool's Day. Each 1st grade student put a seed into a little cup of dirt and I had the kids "watch" it all day. I went outside with them for the last recess and when we came back in there were donuts sitting on top of each cup. So much fun! plant, prank, doughnut seed, april fools day, seed packets, funny commercials, garden, gag gifts, kid

I couldn't find the original post on the blog, (I lost patience) but the picture is all you need. Take a picture of each child reaching up, they make a simple "world", then write why they love it! Very nice idea for Earth Day! science second grade, writing and art, holiday writing, persuasive writing, second grade ideas, earth day, grade one art ideas, grade 1 art ideas, writing activities
Cute Earth Day writing/art project!
The Lorax bulletin board. Students will write why we should take care of trees on different colored lorax trees.
We read The Lorax today and the kids LOVED it. I started off by introducing the book and a little bit about Dr. Seuss. This is a book that will need a little bit of explaining while you are reading it. It's a difficult book with lots of tricky words for 1st graders, but with some discussion, they really do get it and this book can lead to wonderful conversation. After reading, we filled out this chart together. lorax, graphic organizers, seuss, anchor charts, story maps, educ, earth day, first grade, reading activities
