Books Worth Reading
My friend Shirley gave me this book when Pablo died. It is the best book I have ever read because reading about Lewis' loss of his wife to cancer helped me to understand—just a little bit—what I was going through having lost my son. The way he describes people looking at your and looking away is the realest description of human behavior ever written.
This should be required reading after losing someone......
Jodi Picoult seems to follow a familiar formula in all of her books (I've only read two, but unless you're slow on the uptake, you catch on quick to this fact). But this one was hard to read, reading from Jacob's "quirky" perspective and seeing slight similarities in my son. I don't think L has Aspergers, but there were times I had to put it down for a awhile. Still a good read.
