If you're craving something sweet, but know a cookie will have you feeling flat, reach for this warm, low-cal option instead: honey roasted cinnamon chickpeas. High in protein and fiber, chickpeas offer a satisfying crunch when roasted, and if you toss them with a little honey and cinnamon, you'll have a sweet treat that will also give you a boost of energy.

Summer ice for water or sprite!

homemade frozen yogurt: blueberries (fresh or frozen), lemon juice, sugar, salt, cinnamon, vanilla Greek yogurt, milk. Delicious, creamy & loaded w antioxidants & protein. (Can sub any berry you prefer if blueberries aren't your thing!)

Skinny water: Ingredients: 3 lemons sliced 1/2 cucumber A bunch of mint leaves (per gallon of water) Preparation: 1. Slice lemons and cucumbers, wash mint leaves and place in a gallon of water. 2. Let it sit over night in the fridge so the water can soak up all the flavors. Drink up and enjoy the next day! Tip: It adds a nice flavor to your water and can give you a flat belly! The lemon and water act as a natural detox that helps flush the impurities out of your system. Enjoy!

Those packages of pre-sliced apples you can buy at store are great for a healthy snack on the go but the price can add up. Make your own by slicing apples, soak in cold water for 3-5 minutes, then soak in a lemon-lime carbonated soda (such as 7-up or sprite) for 3-5 minutes. Divide into snack size portions and store in Ziploc bags in the fridge. The lemon-lime soda will keep the apples from browning and make them last longer. (Need to remember for school lunches)

QUIT buying easy mac, people! Instant Mug o’ Mac & Cheese in the Microwave: 1/3 cup pasta, 1/2 cup water, 1/4 cup 1% milk, 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese- plus none of that junk they add in there either!
