Austin, TX. Secret swimming spot....The Narrows. Upper south side of Lake Travis near the community of Spicewood. From Austin take Texas 71, turn north on Spur 191, and proceed approximately one mile to Spicewood. Continue traveling north 1.1 miles on Burnet County Road 410 to CR 411, which is a gravel road. Proceed approximately 1.5 miles north to the entrance for the Narrows Recreation Area.
As manatees can't survive in water below 60 degrees, they migrate to Kings Bay and the adjacent rivers every winter, which are an average 72 degrees all year round. So from November through March 2012, you can head to Crystal River, which is 70 miles north of Tampa, where it is the epicenter of manatee-watching, and go frolicking with these giant but affectionate creatures.
Bucketlist: Nemo 33 is the deepest pool in the world. The pool is located in Brussels, Belgium. Its maximum depth is 113 ft. It contains 2.5 million liters of non-chlorinated, highly filtered spring water maintained at 86 °F and holds several simulated underwater caves at 33 ft. There are numerous underwater windows that allow outside visitors to look into the pool at various depths. And it costs roughly $28 for a dive. Done.
