This so reminds me of the cake that started my replace fondant with buttercream quest... at the wedding I noticed every single saucer had a few bites taken of the middle of the cake with the heavy fondant outer layer left to be thrown out. What a disappointment - all that beauty for 80% of it to end up in the trash? Have yet to meet one single person who actually eats fondant on purpose :-(
Cake Decorating using coloring book pages--- this is similar to what I do, but doing it this way, if I mess up, the whole cake wouldn't be ruined!
Silver Snowflake - Kristine and Derek wanted to embrace the season with their reception decor, and consequently, their cake. We took this as our opportunity to load up on edible glitter, sanding sugar and crystals. Each of the unique, handcut snowflakes was coated with edible glitter. Cupcakes baked in ketchup cups, so cute for a party or a shower! You can use a flat baking sheet too as the cups are strong enough and don't need a muffin tin.
Simple Fondant cake with rainbow colored hearts
Chocolate Chip cookie dough cake! Could be a healthy dessert too - use a low fat cake recipe, vegan cookie dough, and maybe the middle layer could be Cool Whip or a jam mixed with the dough instead of frosting to cut back on the frosting quantity. Or just ice the whole thing in Cool Whip and sprinkle with chocolate and/or brown sugar sprinkles
Cookie Dough Cake! This might be my next cake:)!
