Rhode Island chintz-covered oval bandbox. Sewn paperboard covered in printed cotton chintz in shades of blue and white on a red background with original cotton tape, turned wooden buttons to secure the lid, and lined with newspaper from Providence, Rhode Island. Dated 1834. W: 12½" x H: 7½" x D: 9¾"
