The Pittock Mansion is a French Renaissance château in the West Hills of Portland, OR, originally built as a private home for 'The Oregonian' publisher Henry Pittock and his wife, Georgiana. It is a 22 room estate built of Tenino Sandstone situated on 46 acres that is now owned by the city's Bureau of Parks and Recreation and open for touring. In addition, the grounds provide panoramic views of Downtown Portland.

Inside the nine-foot high first order Fresnel lens at Umpqua River Lighthouse in Oregon. Built in 1894, Umpqua used the identical construction plan as the famous Heceta Head Light. However, Umpqua got this beautiful ruby and clear crystal Fresnel. The lighthouse is open for tours, and visitors get a chance to pop up into the interior of the lens and watch this massive red and white beauty rotate around you.
