Inspiration for the Garden
Upgrading from a fire escape container garden to a legit front garden and backyard patio. They need a whole lot of work, and this is what inspires me.
Garden Bytes from the Big Apple: It's too darn hot
I dont know what draws me to this picture - not the usual look I like. There is something about a trio of cascading leafy ferns that is dramatic and useful, perhaps in shutting out a unsightly view, a way to muffle traffic noise, or just a way to add a vertical garden into a smaller space. Also, could be nice to switch out the ferns into a flowering plant.
Love the thyme between the pavers! So luscious.
Outdoor Planter via OhJoy! via AT: What a great idea for a narrow, inexpensive planter with a small footprint. Could even paint it?
Martha Stewart - Cedar Sun Deck: Love this modular approach to flooring; could even float a platform in the backyard and edge the sides with planters or gravel and containers.
