Pinner said :DIY - This is a neat basket to put your fresh picked veggies in. Once they are in the basket just turn the hose on them to rinse them off -for my future garden.

Must remember this.... When you get your berries home, prepare a mixture of one part vinegar (white or apple cider) and ten parts water. Dump the berries into the mixture and swirl around. Drain, rinse if you want (though the mixture is so diluted you can't taste the vinegar,) and pop in the fridge. The vinegar kills any mold spores and other bacteria on the surface. Raspberries will last a week or more, and strawberries go almost two weeks without getting moldy and soft....IT'S LIKE MAGIC!!!

This is a wonderful site to plan my garden from start to finish. You tell it where you live it tells you what to plant and when, designs your garden for you and gives you daily reminders of what to do to your garden.

Flippin' Genius! the next time you have green onions, don't throw away the white ends. simply submerge them in a glass of water and place them in a sunny window. your onions will begin to grow almost immediately and can be harvested almost indefinitely. just use kitchen scissors to cut what you need for meals. periodically empty out the water, rinse the roots off and give them fresh water.
