There are several methods to baking a potato, but this is my favorite because the potato skin is crispy and salty and the insides are soft and fluffy. - Also saw Alton Brown do this method. It works great! No more bland potatoes!

The secret to awesome oven fries is presoaking them in salted water, which makes the potatoes release a bunch of their moisture before cooking. This ensures they will crisp up without having to risk burning them. - this worked beautifully! I've always had trouble getting good and crispy baked fries...problem solved :)
