Sand table using a plastic bin, just put the top on when finished. This is a good idea... we have one of the cute turtle sand boxes but we had to stop using it because the cover doesn't seal tight, so ants, spiders and other bugs would still be able to crawl in with the cover on it. Need a sand and water bin for playing outside!

Backyard chalkboard--less mess and the rain washes it away--such a good idea! use birch plywood. First we painted the front and back with primer to seal it, and then we just painted the front with a quart of chalkboard paint. He attached it to the fence with galvanized wood screws. So far so good, it's been 9 months and it looks brand new.
