I love this anchor chart for nouns to easily help younger students remember what they are. Could be great to post for students to refer to during writing or word work.

This is a story tower where children illustrate the title on one card, the setting, author's purpose, beginning, middle, end... whatever! They write sentences or a paragraph on the back. Then they build it...This can be each child doing one card to build a group story tower or each child can make their own.(Pic only/See explanation above)

All parents need a copy of this to use with their beginning reader. This helps you say more than "sound it out" and your child's teacher uses strategies like this in school!
