Lateral Lunge: Stand with feet hip-width apart, hands on hips (a). Take a big step to the side with your left leg, push hips back, bend left knee and lower until left knee is bent 90 degrees (b). Push back to start.

Squat Hold: Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart. Lower as far as you can by pushing your hips back and bending your knees. Hold this position for 30-60 seconds, then slowly push yourself back up to standing.
