1 regular pound cake (use angel food cake if you want a lighter texture) - cut up into squares. 2 boxes (2 pounds total) of strawberries Skewer the pound cake squares alternately with the strawberries onto a kabob stick. Melt a 12 oz package of semi-sweet chips in the microwave (a minute at a time, stirring after each minute until mixture is melted and smooth) and drizzled the chocolate over the kabobs. *Used the shorter 6-7″ sticks which makes the perfect serving size.
Pecan Pound Cake: This originally was an old recipe my Grandma Mamie made many times (without the nuts). My 82 year old Mother has made it countless times; sometimes as many as 6 for Christmas. Sounds yummy, doesn't it?! Wonderful cake - I have made it with the pecans also - that's how my husband likes it!
