This is a great use for those cabinet doors I picked up for free at a local cabinet shop. Since I don't have human children and my 4-legged kids don't draw, I'm thinking I could make a couple of these to put above my desk and hold mail or work that needs attention. Maybe put greeting cards on one to make me feel good.

Office/Den/Spare room. I'm going to have to have a sofabed in my office (drat!) so this is likely how I'll have to lay things out. I only have one large window though, so I can have more storage opportunity along the one wall. I love the flip up cabinet that houses the sewing machine - that's genius!

Ultimate Hobby Room With the addition of three base cabinets and an island from a home center, tons of storage was added. At a few hundred dollars each, the cabinets offer generous storage and sturdy work surfaces. They don't have to be bolted to the wall, so they can be used elsewhere in the future. To make the most of the space it's divided into three sections: the wrap zone, scrap zone, and sew zone.
