Patina Everything! vinegar, white or apple cider salt, just regular old salt out of my shaker. For small items. I fill a quart yogurt container half full of vinegar, and sprinkle in some salt. (not measured, but guess 1 tsp.??) dump your keys, clips, hinges, watch parts, locks... any metal you want to 'age'. I leave them over night, just 'cause it is convenient. Seal if you touch items a lot

Just print off any picture you want, then spray paint a piece of wood black, cut the picture to match the size of the wood. Using Mod podge coat the wood then lay the picture on top. Once it has dried thoroughly, use sandpaper to rough up the edges, then put a layer of mod podge over the picture. paint some eye hooks and use pretty ribbon as a hanger and voila

Rocco Style Mirror Painted in Annie Sloan Louis Blue Chalk Paint and Distressed. $185.00, via Etsy.

(Annie Sloan paints DIY info) I painted Paris Gray over gold frames and let them dry really good. I sanded them with a wet rag and then I used a coat of clear wax and then a coat of dark wax. The trick that I learned from Stacey about taking off the dark wax with clear wax made for a beautiful finish. After I coated the dark wax really good, I took an old t shirt and dabbed some clear wax on it, rubbed over the dark wax, taking off all the excess. The result was amazing.

how to distress using vaseline and spray paint... This works so well... Gives the perfect finish!
