I call this a 10 Rainbow and the students make different ones for various numbers... we even make silly ones where the numbers are out of order. They love the silly rainbows... and they need to know which numbers equal the target sum.

awesome idea...they have to put the strips in order from shortest to longest then use a q-tip to add snow - for an EXTRA part for this math activity, have the students measure the strips first and write down the measurements in inches and centimeters on each piece! I would suggest for 1st-3rd grade.
