Probably would just zest a regular lime next time. With 1/4 c. cornstarch in the custard, it's hard to keep lumps out. Stir constantly. It looks pretty so I might make it again. Plus is that it can be made ahead and kept frozen.

Cardamom Pound Cake - Bon Appétit. I do not know what on earth happened with this cake. It basically exploded out of the pan and browned on the crust while it was still uncooked in the middle. Ultimately, and miraculously, it ended up tasting great. But there are definitely less volatile and more interesting cardamom cakes out there.
