Prepositions game--This would be a fun activity to help the kids to learn their prepositions. You move the two props around to represent prepositional phrases (above, behind, under, etc.). The kids might get loud during this activity, and you'd also have to bring the props.
Each student comes up and picks a stick out of the teacher's hand; they have to place the word in the right cup. Then, after all sticks have been sorted, students can choose one stick from each cup and create a sentence using all three words. A great informal assessment!
