To remove paint from hardware easily 1. Get a crockpot (cheap at Goodwill!) 2. Add hardware 3. Cover with water 4. Add 1/4 cup liquid laundry detergent 5. "Cook" on middle setting overnight In the morning, the layers of paint will just fall off the metal/glass. It's amazing. You might need to use a toothpick/toothbrush for detail work, but the majority of the paint will come right off with no effort at all. water, remov paint, chemical free, paint removal, crock pots, hardware, hous, slow cooker, paints

Add a tablespoon of vanilla extract per pint of paint and mix it in REALLY well. It doesn't affect the paint but it will get rid of the smell and you will be able to breath more easily with your next paining project. For when we start to remodel!
