daily writing prompts - I've done this, going to give it a try again. You can give them a prompt and/or allow them to select their own topic. Develops writing fluency! Also do 1-minute alphabet writer (they write alphabet in sequence over, and over until a minute is done- do uppercase and lowercase separately....good for handwriting/letter writing fluency).
