pera in crosta - try this version - pate brisee (pie crust) cut into strips wash & core ripe pear, stuff with your favorite combination of almond paste, few drops of Poire Williams or Amaretto and raisins OR nuts, brandy, honey. Wrap the pear with the strips of pastry as shown. Bake at 180C/350F 15-20 minutes or when it gains color. Serve with vanille sauce or lightly whipped cream. Enjoy!!
bite size apple pies ***Tracy's Note: I'm making these right now. I've revamped the recipe and I'm using refrigerated crescent rolls instead of refrigerated pie crust. ***In a word - DELICIOUS! The crescent dough works well. I used Macintosh apples for my attempt. Also drizzled half of them with maple syrup. Tracy tested - Tracy approved :)
