Reinforce good behavior. Remove one smiley face each time a child does a behavior that you want to eliminate. Each day that all smiley's remain, add a body part to Mr. Potato Head. When he is finished, give a reward. This is used in a classroom setting, but I'm sure it would work well with bad behaviors at home, too.
