Using Your Imagination
story stones. help your little one on the path of language learning by offering images to accompany the oral stories you tell (bonus: it's adorable when your little one tells you a story with the stones!)
(Used this mostly as inspiration for Ellie's 1st birthday banner.) Didn't use paint-chips. (Seriously people, that's basically stealing.) Cut hearts with Cricut (about 2.5"). Cut "Happy Birthday" w/ Cricut (1.5"). Glued letters to hearts, punched holes in the tops and strung coordinating ribbon through to hang. Took two hours, off and on.
Newborn Long Tail Hat - I always start with gauge, then multiply gauge by size in inches to determine how many to cast on. I usually have to add a few sts up or down to fit my pattern. For this hat, my gauge was 5 sts/in, my size was 14" around, and I ended up casting on 66sts. The rest of the pattern is as follows: Work 1x1 rib for 6 rounds Switch to size 8 needles, work stockinette c/ stripe for 1 3/4"
Baby with beanie. Cute.
