2. The Receptionist by Janet Groth This memoir is an “enchanting tale of a woman in search of herself” in 1957. She lands a desk job at the New Yorker and has a whirlwind of adventures in her professional life that teach her lessons in her personal life. This one is a perfect read for all my working girls out there. The Receptionist, $11.48, Available at Amazon.
