Ever since I started using HYDROGEN PEROXIDE to get rid of armpit stains, to clean cookie sheets, as a miracle cleaner in my kitchen and bathroom, and to make my own oxi cleanI ALWAYS have at least one bottle of the stuff under my kitchen sink, under my bathroom sink, AND in the laundry room. This stuff is amazingly versatile! *Not to mention it makes your dog puke up chocolate or anything poisonous it might eat.
Peppermint oil: homemade insect repellent. Smells great, it's easy, cheap, green and you can use on pets too.
Spring is coming and this is the BEST Weed Spray. I made 3 gallons for around $4.00 last year after seeing a pin. Worked better than Round Up & killed the weeds/stray grass on first application. One gallon of APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, 1/2 c table salt, 1 tsp Dawn. Mix and pour into a smaller spray bottle. (you can purchase 3 gallon size Apple Cider Vinegar in the canning section of a good hardware store - cheap!)
Dryer sheet to help keep your baseboards dust free.
How to make Shout stain remover
Clean armpit stains and more with this cleaner. Baking soda, dawn dish soap, and hydrogen peroxide is all you need.
MATTRESS spring cleaning: pour about 1 cup of baking soda into a mason jar and drop in 4 drops of lavender essential oil. Put on the lid and shake up the jar. Using a kitchen strainer sprinkle the baking soda mixture all over the mattress and let it sit for an hour or more. Using the hose end of your vacuum and an upholstery attachment, thoroughly vacuum the mattress. Bye, bye dust mites and other nasty things. The baking soda helps draw up any moisture and deep dirtiness. It deodorizes and leaves the mattress smelling fresh and clean. There is a faint scent of lavender left by the essential oil.
